I just love it when a couple asks me to shoot a wedding in a venue or a place that I've never photographed in before!
I know what I'm doing with a camera but the what and the where is totally new at a place I've never been to before, It's the nervous butterflies thinking about the unfamiliar!
When Emily messaged me on facebook, I was well excited!
I love travelling up, down and across the country to photograph weddings; it's an adventure!
Covid had altered Emily & Chris' plans so much but in the end they were getting married no matter what!
Good for them! Nothing stops love!
So at the end of May I packed my bags and made the trip down to Oxford.
The weather report for an Oxford wedding looked promising but out of nowhere it started raining!
Bugger!
Luckily Emily, Chris and their family were happy to carry on despite the weather.
Due to Covid I wasn't allowed in the ceremony room so instead I met them at the Bodleian Library.
What a truly magnificent looking piece of architecture!
How could you ever get a bad photo here?!
Emily chose an alternative dress from Amazon to wear on the day! And I think Emily & her dress looked great in the city!
And Chris looked proper smart in his Next suit and don't mention his shoes, I'm a real shoes kinda guy, they were very nice!
Down in a little alley, outside of a famous Oxford pub (damn I can't remember the name!) we made use of the old walls!

We then headed to The Bridge Of Sighs area and in between the passing mopeds and cycles I documented some love!
Just look at that background!
They met at a party, 5 1/2 years ago and have been inseparable ever since and now they're Mr & Mrs Malowany.
Emily & Chris thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day together!
Roll on 2022 when we're going to do it all again with all your favourite people!
