Daniel & Carrie's Norfolk Wedding

Kings Lynn is a great place for weddings. It has a lot to offer; numerous venues in town and lots more out in the country. I like the weddings that take place in town as the old cobbled streets and buildings can be put to good use.

Leaning buildings, un-level pathways and passages a plenty make for a great setting.

Daniel & Carrie chose to get married at the Register office located at the town hall; a grand building itself, very photogenic. Theres 2 courtyards and gardens at the back, during the summer the flowers are out on full bloom, so put them to use for colourful foreground and background interest.

Inside the ceremony room theres a large window at the front that allows for a lot of available light, making nice bright images of the couple during the ceremony and when signing the register.

Daniel & Carrie then headed over to Marriott's Warehouse on the quay. A building that has stood the test of time since the 1500's. Its recently been turned into a cafe and restaurant but is available to hire offering space across more than one level inside the building. Each level has superb views across the river Great Ouse.

Again light is not an issue at Marriott's Warehouse, as well as the views the large windows around the room blanket the guests in soft light.

Im a big fan of stopping traffic on the streets and making a great display of the couple so i chose to stage the throwing of the confetti out on the quay in front of Marriott's Warehouse, no one on the road in cars ever seems to mind waiting for a little bit of wedding fun.

Food at Marriott's can not be faulted, go and give it a try.

The big day ended with a little drive to Ingoldisthorpe close to Hunstanton for a reception with the evening guests. At the back of the playing field next to the Social club is a woodland track; much like a little secret garden. A real gem can be found if you go looking for it.

Thank you and congratulations to Mr & Mrs Hearle.
