Documenting Jen & Daniel at Pentney Abbey

100% documentary photography.

No posed photos.

Well apart from those for the signing of the register and the cutting of the cake. Oh and those for the group shots.

The challenge was on to capture the party and good times of Jen & Daniel's big day.

So maybe 90% documentary photography? What's your opinion?

I 1st met Jen & Daniel, only a couple of months ago in August, at Old Hunstanton, when we grabbed a few shots for their pre wedding shoot. Before this we had only chatted via Skype and email.

From the outset they told me photos were not their thing, you could have fooled me though because I thought we got some fantastic images on the beach.

The big day came; 29th of September, I joined Jen for her final bridal preparations.

Daniel and his groomsmen arrived in plenty of time.

The venue they chose was Pentney Abbey, an estate dating back from the 1300's.

Full of rustic charm, stonework and manicured gardens.

The Gatehouse is a beautiful setting flooded in light by a large window. It get's a little cosy in there but that just add's to the intimacy.

This really isn't staged, they were just enjoying their 1st chat as husband & wife.

A romantic setting for a discussion!

On the outside the Gatehouse is might impressive and is just waiting to be used.

Just chatting.

There was just one shot that I was told they wanted;

Walking to the barn.

Happiness!

The wedding had a great atmosphere.

Fun and games were on the menu.

Don't be a spoil sport!

This one's a favourite.

I do like to capture a good 'look'

The night ended for me with the cutting of the cake.

And the 1st dance.

I look forward to shooting at Pentney Abbey again in the future. A great venue for a Norfolk Wedding Photographer.

A short and sweet blog post but a massive thank you to Jen & Daniel. Your images will be in the post this week.
