If you're wondering how to plan a winter wedding? Then look no further these 2 smashed it!
I'm sure that many people would love to say "I do" on Christmas Eve; Jonathan & Diane really did in 2020.
It was a golden & crisp afternoon on the 24th of December in Tydd St Mary at the Parish Church Of Saint Mary.
I was ready & waiting for Jonathan & Diane to open the door and walk out of the church.
And just look how happy they were!
For me it's really important to document the wedding dress but in Winter I'm also thinking about how warm the bride is or isn't.
So I said to Diane that we will get a few photos of the dress and then the rest of the photos I'll take with Diane wearing her shawl.
The dress from Coast with it's little bit of sparkle was definitely worth documenting in all it's beauty!
And Jonathan didn't scrub up too badly either in his suit from Robert Goddard, Wisbech
But that red shawl matching the red roses in the bouquet by Lily Jayne Florist of Long Sutton looked just right on that golden Winter evening.
We didn't have to walk very far from the door for a beautiful scene!
A very happy bride!
I say it all the time; I love old doors and walls for backgrounds and I hope the owner of this grave forgives me but I knew this was going to make a great photo!
By the time the group photos were finished it was dark outside and we made use of a well placed spot light for the throwing of the confetti.
And then it was time to play with an off camera flash to make some extra special photos in the dark.
When we were out in the cold and dark for these shot's I was running around saying "oh wow! you've got to see this!".
It's amazing how a well placed light can create something so special, damn I love my job!
Back in the doorway we carried on playing with light.
Just look how much that red shawl pops and I love the flowers framing Jonathan & Diane on both sides.
It was then time to go back inside to enjoy the speeches.
There were tears, times of 'lost for words' and laughter all round; what wedding speeches are all about!
